Welcome to Seward, Alaska!

Seward is one of Alaska’s most scenic, historic, small towns where you are guaranteed spectacular landscapes, unsurpassed hospitality, and easy access to world class sport fishing in beautiful Resurrection Bay.

Carl and Candy Norman, owners of Bear Creek Cabins, have been in the hospitality industry for 35 years.  Candy was born in Seward and Carl arrived in Seward as a young boy in 1957.  We have 5 generations of this family living in Seward and Anchorage. 

The cabins were built in 2006 and are nestled on eight acres of creek front property surrounded by alder, spruce, and cottonwood trees. The creek is the annual spawning site of several species of Alaskan salmon and is located only 500 feet from the local salmon hatchery fish weir.  See salmon up close (as well as fish for trout) right in your front yard in Bear Creek!  The property is frequently visited by bald eagles, as well as the occasional moose and brown or black bear.  Lately we have been visited almost daily by a mother & cub brown bears, an exciting albeit dangerous treat!

Each cabin is smoke free, has a private bathroom w/shower, TV, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, cell phone coverage, and wireless Internet access.  The accommodations are perfect for two, but may sleep up to 4 or 5 people using the extra futon or sleeper sofa.  The cabins each have a private deck and small table & chairs. 
(Recently added was a common gazebo with two pedestal BBQ grills and picnic tables!)

Also provided in each cabin is complimentary coffee, tea, and condiments.  As a courtesy we do put a small supply of snacks in the cabins for your arrival, however please note we are not a B&B.

IMPORTANT, PLEASE NOTE:  We apologize, but it is our strict policy that we do not allow pets or smoking in the cabins.  It is our desire to maintain our cabins in as pristine condition as possible, for you to enjoy without exception.  Due to repeated issues with this policy, we have instituted a $250 surcharge for any violation.
